About the series

“Landscapes and people on the border of light and darkness.”

Memories of Peru: soldiers' boots and tanks in dark streets, coups and political violence, and people who keep on dancing like it doesn't matter. The title is a child's way of surviving.

Dancers of Meg Stuart's company Damaged Goods meet the mountains of Peru, the desert of Morocco and an undefined Italian city, with pen drawings raised with watercolour. Shown at Cecilia Jaime Gallery, De Factorij, Stroming and the cultural centre of Hasselt. Quote: John Devos.
